This is video found on YouTube and uploaded less then an hour ago from the frontline; all the way up to when the police car starts getting shaken down and busted up. You can hear rubber bullet fire in the background I believe.
And then there’s this video, which is interesting as it sounds like there could be some tension between a surly rioter and a videographer (or photographer?…hard to tell which) who is there shooting footage, but again it is hard to tell from the audio. Along comes a person holding a skateboard, and a quick flash gets a shot of a car window being smashed. I’m not sure who the videographer was, but they had a good perspective.
UPDATE: here’s a link to one more video, Oakland Riots; the original piece I saw on tv.

maybe you should take this off? probably not, but *possibly* identifying? hello?
especially since all i had to do was a quick google search to find this page.
p.s. (“interesting as you have some surly mob folks”) sounds kinda smug…what’s the deal with that?
It’s funny… when you watch videos of some riots/protests, especially those taken from the media, you see images that make you think the ones dressed in black are the ones causing all the damage. But it doesn’t look like that, and I was there and didn’t see too much of that. At least not to the belongings of their neighbors.
Violence has never nor ever will be the way to respond to violence; and yet, it is our expression of our hate, anger, and fear. People need to remain more aloof and think; the man was likely killed on acciedent. And even if not, rioting will not help him nor will it comfort his family. The people who’s property was destroyed by the mob will have to pay to replace it- money that can be hard to come by, especially with the recession. And those people are fathers, husbands, wives, and mothers too.
“Shampton”…. why would people in the group threaten the videographer in s/he was part of that group?? careful what you post
It can be hard to transcribe exactly what one here’s in a YouTube video; it just sounds tense is all I’m saying
Besides, i think it’s safe to describe anyone smashing car windows, which is an aggressive action (not to mention obviously a crime), as surly.
Wow! Thank you very much!
I always wanted to write in my blog something like that. Can I take part of your post to my site?
Of course, I will add backlink?
Sincerely, Timur Alhimenkov
