i’m going to suggest visiting the machinarium
http://www.vimeo.com/3082659I was down in LA over the weekend and on Saturday, when I woke up, it was a perfect (cloudy) day. Although most of the locals were complaining it was cold. So I grabbed my camera and headed over to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by Frank-Gehry. It was my first trip to this beautiful building. The grounds are open to the public and you can trapse around the building through winding walkways, nooks and crannies. I took a few polaroids and will scan them later this week.
Wherever you travel, you can use these postcards to stitch routes you’ve taken, landmarks you’ve seen and memories you made as you travel from city to city, country to country. Then drop a stamp on them and send them to your friends or family. From uncommon goods in Germany, each set includes a postcard, thread and needle (spare buttons not included).

Take a bunch of solar cells. Lay them between some recycled plexiglass. Use them to repair or replace crumbling bus shelters, or shelters at stops where historically people people have had to brave the elements. Then use solar energy to small power screens in the middle that tell you when the next bus is arriving, what the local weather is like, sms messages, any videos from around the world, and emergency warnings (among many other uses as well). Developed for Current TV, 2006.
